Feedback & Bug Tracking

Trello is used for planned sprint work, while Jira is used specifically for bugs and improvements:

Anonymised Jira report

The live Jira board could not be made publicly accessible, so this export is provided for reviewers. It contains 21 tracked issues, all marked Done as of 11 October 2026.

As part of user feedback, we gave Toodle to a few students in the School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, including students who work as tutors, as well as our client. These users were familiar with CSAM modules, tutoring processes, and related conventions, so their feedback was relevant to how Toodle would be used.

Their feedback was collected through forms and exported as a CSV file. We reviewed the responses, identified bugs, usability problems, and improvements, and turned agreed issues into tracker tasks.

The anonymised user feedback CSV contains 21 feedback responses: 17 of 21 respondents rated overall satisfaction 4 or 5 out of 5, and 15 of 21 rated navigation 4 or 5 out of 5.

Users could also report problems through the in-app Report a Problem feature. These reports included the page, URL, blocking status, and description, and an email was also sent to the dedicated Toodle issues email account. Valid reports were then turned into Jira cards.

Jira uses To Do, In Progress, and Done columns. It automatically assigns each issue an ID and allows issues to be prioritised.

User feedback / in-app report -> review issue -> Jira card -> fix -> PR -> retest -> Done

A bug or improvement remains open until the cause has been investigated, a fix has been implemented, relevant testing has been repeated, and the fix has been reviewed and merged.

Larger fixes should use a fix/* Git branch.
